Backend Developer (Python & APIs)

Global Digital Technology is looking for a Backend Developer (Python & APIs) to design, build, and maintain reliable backend services for modern digital products and cloud-based solutions.

You will work closely with frontend developers, data engineers, DevOps specialists, product teams, and solution architects to develop scalable application logic, APIs, integrations, and data-driven services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations with internal and external systems
• Develop scalable application logic for web and digital products
• Design and optimize database structures, queries, and data access layers
• Integrate backend services with cloud infrastructure and third-party platforms
• Collaborate with Frontend, Data, DevOps, QA, and Product teams
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Identify performance bottlenecks and improve application reliability
• Participate in code reviews, technical planning, and architecture discussions
• Support automated testing, deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting processes

Requirements

• 2+ years of commercial backend development experience
• Strong knowledge of Python
• Experience with FastAPI, Django, Flask, or similar frameworks
• Practical experience designing and integrating REST APIs
• Understanding of relational databases and SQL
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar database technologies
• Good understanding of Git and modern development workflows
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized applications
• Understanding of software architecture, security, and application performance principles
• English level B2 or higher

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Knowledge of microservice architectures
• Experience with asynchronous processing and message queues
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience integrating AI or data-processing services through APIs
• Basic understanding of Kubernetes
