Role Overview

As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying security risks, implementing protective measures, and improving security practices across digital products and infrastructure.

You will collaborate with software developers, DevOps engineers, and solution architects to integrate security into development workflows and maintain reliable protection across applications and cloud environments.

This role requires a practical understanding of cybersecurity principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate technical security requirements into effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct security assessments of web applications, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and internal systems.
• Identify vulnerabilities, evaluate potential risks, and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Implement and maintain security controls across cloud environments and application architectures.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate secure coding practices into software development workflows.
• Support vulnerability management, security testing, and remediation activities.
• Configure and monitor security tools, access controls, and authentication mechanisms.
• Review infrastructure configurations to ensure alignment with established security standards.
• Participate in security incident investigation, response, and root cause analysis.
• Develop and maintain technical security documentation, policies, and operational procedures.
• Support continuous improvement of security monitoring, risk management, and incident prevention processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, application security, cloud security, or a related technical field.
• Strong understanding of web application security principles and common vulnerabilities, including the OWASP Top 10.
• Experience securing cloud environments such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of network security, authentication protocols, encryption, and access management.
• Experience with vulnerability assessment tools and security monitoring solutions.
• Understanding of REST APIs, web application architectures, and secure development practices.
• Familiarity with Linux environments, container technologies, and cloud infrastructure.
• Ability to analyze security risks and recommend practical technical improvements.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Experience implementing security practices within CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps methodologies and infrastructure-as-code security.
• Knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS Controls.
• Experience with penetration testing methodologies and security assessment tools.
• Understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, and container security.
• Familiarity with SIEM platforms and automated security monitoring.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, or similar qualifications.
